Brewing Recipes & Information
Every brew is different. Time your brews precisely and accurately for a more potent brew. You can garner a base idea of how well you've done by the name of your brew. A spiked coffee you over-cooked might be 'Watery Coffee', a mediocre one 'Coffee' - only the best, most carefully brewed alcoholic coffee beverage deserves the title of a true Bavarian Coffee.

Getting Started:
First things first, brewing is exclusive to cops and max rank drug lords. You can find more information about enrolling, the rules, what it means to be a cop, etc. in-game at /warp police. After you've enrolled, you'll have to purchase a house at spawn. Once you've invested in a house, you can keep it for the entire map, as long as you log on at least once a month.

The Brewing Process
1. Put each ingredient into your cauldron in the order they're listed
2. Leave them in the cauldron for the listed time, letting them cook
3. If distilling is required, move the resulting brew into a brewing stand using a glass bottle

4. Let the brew distill for the listed distilling time, then remove
5. If aging is required, move the brew into the proper barrel, and let it age

And you're done! Simple as that ^.^

Other possible recipes:
Pina Colada - coconut(?), ice, sponge // jungle, +water-breathing
Vodka - potatoes // any +high alcohol content, no effects
Beer - wheat // oak +for the beer people
Vermouth - cocoa beans, poppies // spruce
Dragon's ___ (milk?) - end crystal, ghast tear, magma cream, dragon's breath // acacia
^ (perhaps a cool multi-effect brew for like, 30-60 seconds, but with a very difficult recipe to craft, people would pay a lot for it, similar to a super golden apple)

We've got a lot of recipes, but due to each brew being slightly different, people won't be able to sell alcohol to the server, so I want motivation to brew these things a.k.a potion effects! For example, Molasses Firewater gives more fire resistance than the standard potion, Liquid Courage gives a little extra strength, etc. Coffee might give you a slight speed boost, that sort of thing! Negative effects work as well. Absinthe, for example, will poison you upon consumption and has a high alcohol content.

Recipe-wise, if there are any changes people want to see, perhaps make it a little more difficult or easier to craft, or if you thought you made a recipe perfectly, but it didn't work, let me know. Feel free to suggest any fun new recipes as well. For ease of testing, most of the recipes don't have distilling (the brewing stand portion) included; can add that in later.

*Note: Many of these recipes are currently bugged, and will be fixed as soon as possible.
Mead, Muskmelon Midori, Chorus Rum, Tears of Erza, Absinthe, Mexican Jumping Brew, and Champagne should all be working fine.

Considering the cost of making these potions (not to mention the time) is there anyway to request that an NPC is created to buy certain brews OR that the enchantments are made stronger so that in comparison to potions these brews can be useful for players, that way they are more likely to buy it?

that is not possible, and alcohol is intended to be used by players, which is why it has special effects.

Sorry but which part is impossible, the NPC since the affects are unique and it isn't possible to make an NPC to buy all the varieties, or the changing of the enchantment affects to have more positive affects?

Bottomline for me is that I love this new system, and I super appreciate how it was made specially for cops to give them a steady flow of income. That system and idea are amazing. My only gripe is that most people won't be able to appreciate it since at the end of the day it costs more to create than people are willing to pay. That's why I asked for a modification, particularly one that makes more cops willing to brew because 1. they know an NPC vendor will buy it (much like Chuck for fishing) or 2. "better" enchantments (about half of the alcohols have no affect apart from making people drunk). If neither solution is possible than sorry for wasting your time. Or if a third option is available we would love to see it implemented and tested.

It is not possible to have shops for alcohol to be sold.

Hello I'm having trouble brewing alcohol, I will walk through the steps that I did and can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Chorus Rum
1. So I add all 10 chorus and 16 sugar cane into one cauldron.
2. I wait 6 minutes, the cauldron that I put the items in I put the water in 3 water bottles.
3. I put the 3 water bottles into the oak barrel and wait 40 minutes.
4. I open the barrel and I still have 3 water bottles.

What am I doing wrong? Any help would be amazing, thanks.

Are you using popped chorus? And make sure you put the ingredients in order and as fast as possible into the cauldron.

Crazy idea, feel free to shoot me down and call me out on it, but: If there was a way to get every possible variation of the available drinks and give it to one of the owners, would you be opposed to making an infinite chest shop in the basement of the bar so cops could sell their brews?

I know it sounds crazy but hear me out, with all the different cops that have the ability to brew, and basically an open due date since no one is expecting this, Cops could collectively work together and gather all the different drinks, and experiment around with the different strengths and duration and get an almost exhaustive list of the potions, you guys would take those potions and check their item ids and make signs that buy them, and whatever ones we miss can remain as the unsellables that have to be traded or put up on auction. AND if there are too many variations and you don't want to put a sign for each and everyone one underneath the bar, you guys could just take the most commonly created ones and make signs with instructions on how to get that precise brew.

I acknowledge i don't know how much variation there really is in the different strengths and durations of each drink but if 16 drinks have close to 5 variations each (similar to how brewing worked in IndustrialCraft 2 for Tekkit and Feed The Beast) then there is a finite and possible number of options and the community can have a goal to help the staff make a REALLY COOL SYSTEM work for everyone.

Every drink has a different ID, there really no way for us to buy them through any shop.

OOH, so regardless if the specs are the same or not, Drink A with 10 seconds has a different ID from Drink B that also has 10 seconds of duration. NVM

Is there nothing to be done with the /persistent command that the plugin has?

I don't think the persistant command would do anything, as it would only make it so that drink can be copied, and those copies sold, but it would not give it the same ID as other drinks.

Is there anyway to get more detail on this particular recipe since for whatever reason the game thinks that I am trying to make beer because the first ingredient is wheat. Or if someone has made it please tell me what I am doing wrong.
