Ban appeals are for when we have made a mistake, or there has been a significant change in the circumstances.
These are the only reasons a ban appeal would be accepted. Appeals for "apologies" or just admitting you did wrong will be instantly denied.

In Game Name: Zhihu

Length of Ban: 30 Days

Nature of ban(ie, mine craft temp banned or TS3 perm ban) : Minecraft Temp Ban

Staff who banned you : OGDaddy, orders from Dakota/Spalw over group message (I believe)

Staff who dealt with you : DaddyPS, GotEdit, NoodlyAppendage

Staff who have warned you previously : N/A

Reason for ban on record : Exploiting/Making Server crash

Why do you think you were banned?(what you think the admins thought) : Crashing the server. I explained this better to DaddyPS and GotEdit, but over text in a group message it may have seemed like I was intentionally crashing the server and using a naturally spawned mob exploit to get his mcmmo axes levels up.

Why what is your explanation of this reason? In no way whatsoever did I know this was going to crash the server. Using the old mob stacker plugin, and even without any mob stacker plugin...breeding mobs, mcMMO count it as a naturally spawned mob. Killing those mobs gives mcMMO xp. (This exploit got me about 5 mcMMO axes levels)

I would like to refer to a very similar exploit that the SaltyCrew faction used to get their axes high levels, and that is an enderman farm. This grinder spawns enderman that give mcMMO xp, which allowed their faction cover the top 5 on mctop axes.

The xp that cows give is a fraction of what enderman grinders give, but the reason I made it is due to the fact that they are easier to kill.

**Unfortunately it is a part of the plugin from what I have seen on the mcmmo wiki.

Why should we unban you? I believe the key here is intent. Like any criminal prosecution, I had no intent to crash the server, I was just simply breeding more mobs to grind my axes with.

As soon as I realized the entire server crashed, and not just my client, I went straight to Teamspeak to talk to PS and tell him that I think it was me who crashed the server. I did not want to get in trouble so I tried helping the admins with anything I could, offering the base coordinates, faction coordinates, the number of mobs, which home set was at the farm, how to reproduce the glitch, and how to try to fix it.

I would also like to refer to the last time this happened, where a similar number of mobs (22000), was AFK'd for over 24 hours, corrupting the chunks, crashing the server and causing a rollback and deletion of player data.

I think most staff know what case I am talking about, and I was wondering the length of those two players bans, adding the breeding exploit ban, and seeing if that really adds up to a 30day ban or a permanent ban (which spalw said it was going to be changed to).

^This isn't me being witty but genuinely asking for fair treatment as if it were one of those players

What measures will you take to prevent this from happening again? Never breed stacked mobs over 5000 again.

How can we trust you again? I've played this server for over 4 years, I've never hacked on the server, I've been a constant supporter of the server, even when the server had an average player count of 20.

This map is the one I've played the most, donated the most, and overall put the most dedication to. I really did not mean to crash the server, and I don't want to again or do anything similar that will get me in trouble.

What else would you like to say to the admins who will review this case? Again, I never intended to crash the server. I wanted to help the admins solve the issue right after it happened and not get in trouble.

Think if a random player did this glitch, crashed the server, and no one knew it was them. If they joined over and over again keeping the server down for hours, and eventually causing a fallback on the server.

I would 100% agree that if a random player purposely attempts to crash a server, never tells anyone and keeps joining to keep the server down, he/she would deserve a 30ban if not a perm, but this is not the case.

Thanks for reading, hope you guys understand the situation better from reading this.

This is a well written appeal, and I agree that you did not intentionally crash the server.

As for the mcMMO exploitation, that will not go unpunished, but I believe 30 days was a bit harsh.

Appeal accepted, ban shortened to 3 days, and your axes level will be reset.

I've had 1000 axes for over 3 weeks now, I got access to this farm 2 days ago. I can show proof of that as well. I also have a screenshot of me redeeming 850 credits into axes.

You abused an exploit that altered your axes level, no matter the magnitude, there must be consequences. Consider yourself lucky that your ban was cut to 1/10 of the time. You can probably get 1000 levels back in less than 30 days.

After having a conversation with you on teamspeak your ban has been extended to 6 days.

Your attitude on teamspeak was pathetic and you clearly don't care that you used and exploit and feel cheated that your getting your axes reset. You're among the few players that this ban would even considered to be changed, you're a long time supporter of the server but that doesn't allow you the privilege to act like this.

If you want to use criminal prosecution as a template, there is clearly no remorse.
