MCMMO Axes

When were axes nerfed? Ive spent thousands of mcmmo credits on my axe skill and I don't think its right that they have been severely nerfed

I believe they've been nerfed so that PvP isn't entirely about getting 1 shot and so swords are a viable option in fighting.

Ok but if someone has worked to level up their skill they should deserve to use what theyve earned. Leveling isnt limited to certain people and it does not give an unfair advantage because anyone and everyone has they ability to get those skill levels

You can use what you've earned. Leveling it up still increases the critical strike chance and the armor shred if I recall correctly.

it does not. my shred used to be in the 40s and now it is 7 and my crit was capped at about 32% and now its 15%. Its obvious that leveling up an axe causes it to do more damage. This is known by everyone. if nerfing was to be implemented it should have been implemented at the beginning of the map like it had been last map rather to nerf it once a fair amount of people had already leveled it a substantial amount.

Didn't Mojang buff axes? In that case, it was nerfed to compensate for the damage increase that was implemented into the game itself.

I believe the change was also implemented to help cushion the devastating blows that the Heavy Axe, combined with the Psychotic Helmet, can deal.

According to Dawggy, this nerf was implemented by Dakotaa. Again, anyone has the opportunity to do this. it doesnt pose an unfair advantage. Its one thing if not everyone could do this but there is literally nothing keeping anyone from being able to use the combinations that you described in pvp

Oli is correct. I nerfed axes as they were incredibly overpowered. I don't know why you're complaining about it like this, the nerfs apply to everyone, not only you.

Im complaining because I spent close to 3k mcmmo credits on them. if they are op then just increase the amount of levels required before someone is able to use the full power of them

Isn't the technical "full power" of them capped at 250? I believe after 250 points into Axes you can't get any more damage off of them.

Sure, you can have more armor shred but in the current state of PvP, with Protection being nerfed and Axes being buffed to the point to where you can kill somebody in one critical hit through Protection 4 armor, the armor shred that you get won't even be worth it because fights aren't sustained like they used to be. Investing in it past 250 might have been a poor choice even if they weren't nerfed.

This nerf to Axes will introduce new viable custom enchant combinations and allow the diversity of PvP - and the weaponry used - to flourish, as well as re-introducing the "skill" factor back into MC-Drugs.

So what you're saying is you'd rather grind more, which you are complaining about, than have the highest anybody can have right now?

I believe after level 750 you wouldn't get any more buffs to axes other then a slight bonus to the armour shredding ability.

Little is right after 750 the only 0ther thing you get is more armor shred. The way axes were pre nerf was completely broken and made pvp not enjoyable for most people. The nerf is to everyone to make pvp more balanced.

But yes, I did the math a while ago, and if you had 10,000 axes you could break p4 armor (withought unbreaking) in 18 full hits. Axes are still viable, pvp this map is better than last map in my opinion.

funfry you got fucked lol, I was about to redeem my 4000 into axes like 2 days ago, luckily PS told me they were going to nerf axes. I get nerfing the damage, but nerfing the armor shred screws all the people that already had a ton axes levels.

Drinking milk to remove debuffs of enchants will be fixed soon, so it won't be as viable.

what? that was before the insomnia helmet...And I meant it dosn't do double damage with milk.
