Ive been playing this server for years and love it, but theirs one thing that bugs me more than anything. All in all this server is really a pay to win server. I get you guys need money to keep the server going, but the high donation rank are way op. I'll use rush as an example, the MVP+ rank gets armor that would take days to make. Some of it you can't make at all without donating. I think all items should be available to players. The items in the "legendary crate" most of us will never see. Youve got these huge factions, kotn, ohchit etc with all MVP+ and amazing armor. No one on this server stands a chance against them, pvping them is out of the question. If I die I loose armor and weapons that tools hours or days to make. They die they go back to their base and grab another set from the closet. On to the point.

I've mentioned this before and was told it would fit in on this server. I believe people would love it once they played it. The spawn rate on this server is pretty sad, this mod would help being able to up that without causing much lag. It's called infernal mobs. Basically their is a 1/10 up to 1/200 chance of an infernal mob depending on their level. They spawn in with up to 10 effects from rust to wither. They are very tough to kill, some with throw you and your weapons in opposite directions. Rather then people just sitting their grinding all day they may spawn an infernal and actually have to try to stay alive. This was on another server I played on a long time ago, they had it so the highest level infernal dropped weapon with enchants higher than you can make, and with rush having runes it may be a way to score some of those. On the other server not all infernals dropped amazing items. But when they did it was worth the effort.

I'll include some links below, I really do think this would level out the playing field and get more people to stick around, it's pretty disheartening when you have people like zzero, trumpCs, and zied running around able to kill anyone they come across and able to survive 6+ people attacking them. Reading some of the other suggestions today I think loli??? Said this and it's really is true. There's a handful of players that own all the good stuff on theses servers.

But seriously, on regular MC-Drugs, the only things that do give a huge advantage is /near with the 100$ rank, but the main thing is the amount of homes. On Rush, donators do get a huge advantage, no argument against that other than you can get the ranks by voting.

The point is that on the OG MC-Drugs, I've put countless hours into the game, having several vaults and farms...of course I am going to be more powerful than a junky who starts with iron armor.

I was playing minecraft before you were even in high school. I know what I'm doing, I'm just as good as a player as you. Not all of us have time to spend hours and hours on the server. I got a job and guitars to build, I got a son. So why should I not get to enjoy the server as much as you. Name one major faction that doesn't have a moderator on it. You said it yourself, you don't want competition. But back to the original idea.

Infernal mobs wouldn't give a huge advantage to anyone. You may spend 3+ hours trying to spawn an infernal. And they may drop crap. And every once in a while they may drop something with sharpness 6, or mending, or thorns 4. It's not a huge advantage to anyone, it takes a lot of time. But it give players another option to get high level armor without chest and raiding big factions. Infernals arnt easy to kill, my old buddy I played with would have to have multiple high power weapons and armor(incase an infernal threw it across the room. It would take both of us 30+ minutes to kill one and 10 god apples on a high level infernal.

Thank you for your suggestions Matt, when we were developing rush we wanted to add a sort of mob boss plugin into rush and we are still in the works of doing it, it takes us a lot of time to configure it, work out the kinks, get it balanced for rush. As far as the armor goes we spent hours trying to balance it for rush and the type of server we wanted rush to be. We made it so you can naturally enchant up to protection 10 if you're lucky and made the voter armor on par with donator kits, along with the rare voter gear way better than donator kits. As far as the faction fly quest I rebalanced it last night and will add new quests for good gear on par or better than donator stuff throughout the coming weeks. We will continue to try and balance everything as rush progresses, this is a brand new game and aspect we have never done before so please be patient while we work out all the kinks and work on adding new things! Thank you.

Awesome! What mob boss plug in are you guys adding?
Is this going to be a way to get unique Enchants?

There is a way implemented currently for unique enchants, if you go to the enchant shop directly out of spawn you can buy custom enchant books for xp, its meant to be harder to get so the best enchants you can get will cost like 120 levels of xp but common ones are 60 levels.

Exactly, so don't expect to have huge bases and a huge faction to lead if you don't play enough. I'm going off to college in a week and I won't even be playing by then, so I don't expect to be as rich as the players who havn't stopped playing since day 1 of rush.

But to your initial suggestion, seems pretty awesome. Only thing I would say is that there should be spawn eggs you buy to actually fight them, as having them randomly come out of a grinder would be annoying and might not be compatible with the mob stacker plugin.

I also agree that the homes and commands are the most valuable thing you get with rank upgrades. I'd take twice the set homes over the VIP+ armor. I've just always wanted to get good at pvp on here but it's way too expensive. I think a lot more players would stick around if it was easier to get nice armor. So many people quit when they lose good armor and weapons. My. Old best minecraft friend rage quit this server when he was teamed up on by 16 player and lost a set of mending, prot5, thorns 2, etc armor and I prestige sword. He hasn't played since. It takes days to make armor like that from scratch. MVP plus get a set every two days without any work. And we had a full villager trading area built so getting enchantments was actually very easy. The exp was the hard part. I like the egg idea too. I'm all for giving donators useful stuff. I'm a donator. But I think there's other stuff that would be just as useful for the MVP+ ranks than the high level armor. Give them super pick axes, or stacks of TNT.

On regular mc-drugs MVP+ kit is just prot 2, pretty much shit and you don't need it except for the first day of the map. But yeah on Rush the kits that MVP+ gets is op considering you can't get prot 7 from enchanting right now, but once they fix it it should be more balanced, just temporarily broken plugin.

Yeah, the MobBoss plugin was an idea we had but we were never able to implement it in time because we had a deadline to meet.

As for what PS said, everybody who contributed is still trying to work out all the kinks for MCD Rush. Because of this, you can expect the map reset every 4 months to offer infinitely better gameplay than the last one.

I'm locking this thread out, however, due to some ambiguity in the original post I would like to make it abundantly and unarguably clear that any potential issues with unbalanced donations can only possibly be the case on "MCDrugs Rush" and not "MCDrugs". Due to my lack of interaction with the Rush environment and lack of understanding of the PvP systems in place on rush I cannot specifically counter any points. I would however like to explain this -
MCDrugs as it is now - is incredibly fair and balanced in terms of donor benefits. We're an absolute leader in the genre and you will doubtlessly struggle to find a server that has a better donor system in place than ours. As for Rush - it is new, and is very prone to any potential balancing issues.

I'm sure that PS & Dakota would appreciate any and all clear and concise suggestions regarding Rush's balance.
