An improvement to the points system

I've recently opened up a shop that primarily deals with the buying and selling of player points and voter keys (@D1). Since opening this shop, I've been messaging lower level players in hopes of gaining customers. It is by talking to these lower level players that I have come to the realization that a large number of new players have absolutely no idea that they are getting points from voting. This has a negative impact on them, as the new players are missing out on the benefits that using points can provide.
I propose that in order to fix this issue, points could now be given to players as vouchers when they vote. That way, the new player would see that they are getting the points from voting, and by right clicking to redeem, they would see their point total go up. I know that the point total is displayed when the player initially votes, but this could easily go unnoticed with the chatspam that voting creates, causing the player to miss the fact that he/she is receiving points. Also, this would be an easier way for the new players to quickly vote and sell their points and keys to make 50k+ per day (at shop D1, for example). This is hugely advantageous to new players who need quick startup cash and aren't worried yet about using points for things that higher level players use them for.
This minor change would benefit both new and old players as it would, I believe, cause an overall increase in the amount of points in circulation on the server. Everybody wins.

Would be a good idea, vouchers certainly aren't hard to replace with points considering we already have that whole system in place.

I've noticed this problem too. I completely agree with this and I think they should add signs at warp tutorial and explain what they do and what you can do with them. As I doubt any new player will know '/points me'

This is definitely possible and relatively easy to implement - however, we have never identified this as an issue. We have always been under the impression that the tutorial, broadcasts, signs and messages when voting are effective enough to not warrant another step to make things more clear.

I think you care more about them being able to easily sell to your shop than players not knowing what points are. As Spalw said, I don't think many players don't realize they get points, because you see new players asking what points are for all the time.

The people affected by this issue would not know that they are missing out on anything, so of course they wouldn't be seeking help! I do care about them being able to easily sell to my shop, and in talking to as many new players as possible, I've found that about half if not more don't know that they're getting points or what they are used for. For example, last night I talked to a dealer and convinced him to vote to sell me the points. He voted, and I told him he could do /p me to assure that he had points. He had 300 points that he had no idea about, and sold me the vouchers he made from that. Yes, I want people to be able to sell their points to me, and that is my main goal of this suggestion. However, this would benefit more players than just myself as it would cause all new players to realize that they are in fact getting points. How they use those points is to their own discretion in the end.

If you want proof that the issue exists, talk to some low level players about how they spend their points and I have no doubt that you'll be as surprised as I was to find that lots of players don't know they have/are getting points.

You have to assume that if there are players who are oblivious to getting points from voting, they'll be oblivious to getting the point vouchers in their inventory. They may also have a full inventory (many new players do from the default kit, drug kits, etc.), meaning they won't get the voucher items. With how it works now, they at least are guaranteed to get their points, which they can then turn into vouchers.

I think the better course would be, as suggested by other players, to put some signs at the tutorial about points, which I can do this afternoon.

A good idea tho, to prevent new players from asking what do they use points for, is when they get the points to receive a extra message saying you can use your points in /shop cause new players usually don't read all signs in /warp tutorial
