Ok guys, I cook my hot pockets in a microwave, while Dakotaa cooks his in a toaster oven. So, the question is, where do you cook your hot pockets, an oven or a microwave.

Using a toaster oven is a more even cook for the Hot Pocket, and you are less likely to get a cold part in the middle of the Hot Pocket. Therefore toaster oven is superior.

Of course sky microwaves his. Civilized people, like GoodChum and myself, have the patience to cook them in the oven for a better experience.

hot pockets are supposed to be fast and simple. I don't have time for this clearly overrated "oven"

Of course a filthy peasant such as yourself doesn't understand the beauty of the use of an oven in crafting the delicacy known as a Hot Pocket. Sky continue to use a microwave like the peasant we all know you are. Not enough time? Then make time its very simple even a monkey could do it. Does your inability to not use an oven make you lower than a monkey in intelligence?

To the rest of you thinking a microwave is better none of you will experience the beauty and wonderful true taste of a Hot Pocket that only an oven, be it a toaster oven or a normal oven can bring out of a Hot Pocket. I hope you will cease to be peasants using a microwave to make this delicacy and join the correct side, the oven side.

We should make the most of our lives, and put our hot pockets in the oven. The crisp and brittle outer shell fully evolved in the engulfing heat of an oven, or its sister the toaster oven.

A microwave infects the delicacy and turns it into floppy sadness that makes even a young African boy cry at its appearance.

Toast your hot pockets, save a life.

Can't say I've ever actually had a hot pocket but I'll post for similar food items I have eaten.
Microwave is for when I'm lazy and starving.
Oven is for when I'm too lazy to cook real food, but am feeling patient enough to wait for food I'm not making from scratch.

Overall, oven is superior in terms of taste and overall quality.

And yet another cultured soul joins the side of the Oven. Soon the microwave peasants will learn to work their ovens, and join us in our sophisticated society.

This report will basically lay out how each appliance works, to allow you to make a judgement as to which appliance you shall use to cook.

Also, just a little note, I have never eaten a Hot Pocket from a Microwave oven or Toaster Oven, but have eaten various other meals from each appliance.

Microwave Ovens:
How do they work?
A Microwave Oven works by channelling heat energy directly into the molecules inside the food, which is what allows them to be so quick and efficient. Microwaves are actually electromagnetic waves, which is an invisible up-and-down pattern of electricity and magnetism that races through the air at the speed of light. These Microwaves are tiny and are roughly 12cm (roughly 5 inches) long.

So how do these "Microwaves" relate to a Microwave Oven?

Well, A component inside of a Microwave Oven is called the Magnetron. This Magnetron generates microwaves from electricity inside of the Microwave Oven. To power this magnetron, A transformer converts the standard household electricity of 120 volts to around 4000 volts or higher to power this magnetron, the component inside the microwave oven that generates microwaves from electricity.
The voltage then heats the filament at the centre of the Magnetron that boils off electrons. The electrons are whirled around by two ring magnets. This creates microwaves at a specific frequency (Usually 2.35 gigahertz.). The microwaves are then transmitted into the cooking chamber by an antenna. The microwaves bounce around inside the cooking compartment eventually penetrating the food, in turn heating it up. The microwave door contains a metal mesh with holes that are small enough so that microwaves can't escape but visible light can, so we can see the food that is cooking inside. Most microwaves have a revolving glass turntable that turns the food around so that it heats evenly.

Toaster Ovens:
How do they work?
A toaster oven works by the user setting the dial or thermostat on the oven to the desired temperature. The electrical system in the toaster prepares the process of heating the coils that are located on the bottom and back of a toaster oven and this initiates the heating process. Once turned on, the coils begin to glow in a reddish glow, producing infrared radiation or heat. The radiation is what actually heats and cooks the food in the toaster giving it warmth and sometimes crunch to the bite. The coil can be reflected by a nichrome wire that also radiates heat in locations in which the coils cannot directly face toward.

Conclusion:
In Conclusion, this post was in no way to fight for a certain side of the argument, it was just to give a little information as to how both appliances work. If I were to give you a definite answer, I would say the appliance in which you use is dependant on you, the person cooking the meal. If you are looking for that crispy, well-balanced heat, opt for the toaster oven, however, if you do not have the time to wait for the toaster oven to cook a full Hot Pocket. Opt for the Microwave Oven, which will allow you to cook the Hot Pocket in a much faster time, however, you are losing that distinct crisp and well-balanced heat, offered by a toaster oven.

Toaster oven / Regular Oven makes it cook more evenly, which has been mentioned before; though it also makes it not feel like the sun if you bite in to one too early.

You are all inferior to my primitive technology. Who needs microwave when you have this amazing invention that surpasses both microwaves and toaster ovens.

Why is your hot pocket open? All the filling would fall into the fire. This technique is clearly inferior to the oven.

It's open because if it was not, then the crust in the outside will get burnt and the inside will be lukewarm and as we all can agree as a hot pocket enthusiast community, that no one likes a cold or lukewarm inside.

I think we can all agree, as a hotpocket enthusiast community, that we enjoy our hotpockets to actually contain filling on the inside.
