End Crystal Suggestion

End crystals are unhealthy for the pvp meta of MCD. Being able to quick drop someone by placing an item that costs 1000$ and breaking it with your fist is not a balanced pvp mechanic, and makes it extremely hard to have actual fights. I believe this item takes away from the fun on MCD, as there is hardly any counterplay to it except moving a lot, which is hard to do when you have to use potions.

this isnt an anarchy server, and there is no counterplay. It will 1 shot anyone that doesnt have a god apple consumed.

We've removed xp pots because fights take too long.. now you want end crystals removed because it makes fights too fast. Lets just remove all vanilla mechanics of minecraft all together is what i'm reading.

Surely there is a healthy medium between dying in 1 second and dying in 10 hours, candy. I don't believe you've put up a good argument here in favor of end crystals.

this is really flawed logic. I dont see why you're justifying an item that takes nothing to make, and will 1 shot someone in full god gear.
The idea is to find a balance between long fights and short fights..

It essentially makes it impossible to raid, you get near their base, boom invis nether crystalled. You wouldnt want to prevent one of the main aspects of the server would you? :)

This better be a meme zhihu. We both know that bringing blast prot 4 to a fight so that you dont die from end crystals is insanely impractical.

Solely because this makes online raiding harder than it already is, I've blocked the placement of them.

I do think that this is a bad way to deal with the problem at hand. I think there are multiple better ways to deal with this situation

A) add a timer on how often an end crystal may be used by a player

B) make end crystals uncraftable and only dropped in crates/bought at a reasonable amount

C) reduce the damage of end crystals to the player

While they may be OP in some eyes you really are just reducing the skill required to raid. I dont see this as a real problem as my faction itself has been raided several times even though we have used end crystals quite extensively. While the crystals did hinder the raiders it also caused our power to be reduced quite a bit as often you would die after end crystalling and it would take time to rekit up and try to hit the raiders again.

A: This seems bad, as the one shots still come, just not as frequently. The problem is that one shotting with an item shouldn't be a thing at all.

B: Look at A

C: Reducing the damage of end crystals could be viable, and I'd be interested in seeing this implemented if Dakotaa wants to go back on having them removed, although I'm indifferent as to which option is picked between removal and C.

I disagree with a & b as even with these implemented they would still be insanely OP and ruin pvp.
C is debatable, depends on how much damage is actually reduced. 1 heart of damage wouldnt be too bad and nobody would use them.
