Quick summary: On July 27, our Buycraft store will be completely overhauled to create a more fair gameplay experience for those who can not buy things. Anything giving an unfair advantage will be discontinued, but any of these things that you currently own will stay on your account forever. You have until July 27 to purchase any of the existing packages on our Buycraft, including crate keys, ranks, and MCDrugs Premium in order to keep the current perks offered by them forever. You can purchase donator rank vouchers and save them for later, redeeming the current perks after July 27. Lifetime Premium can be purchased to keep the current premium perks forever. A "Crate Key Token" has been added to the store. If you buy this before July 27, it can be traded in for any key in the future similar to Tag Crate Tokens, or given to Dakotaa or spalw to be saved for a future map. Finally, you can purchase store credit that can be saved, and spent on pre-overhaul perks after the overhaul, like crate keys.
Since the beginning of MCDrugs, we have always aimed to create a fair experience for all players, trying our best to minimize "pay to win" in our store. As our player base increased over time, and we had more players willing to donate to keep the server running, we were able to drop more and more of our unfair donator perks, such as overpowered armour, plots, and the ability to directly buy ingame money.
With the success of the new map and the record amounts of players, we have decided that it's a good time to make some changes to our store. With our highest player count yet, it's clear that we will be able to continue to run the server by only selling perks that do not give a gameplay advantage to those who have the money to buy them.
On July 27, our entire Buycraft store will be overhauled. Our main goal is to have fair packages that do not give players an advantage over those who do not have the money to buy them, while keeping the perks and rewards fun, useful, and worth paying for.
We've got some big new things planned for the store overhaul, mainly a completely new mount (horse) plugin with a lot more customization and cosmetics, some large changes to boosters, and new server-wide events sponsored by players.
Now some info on the existing store items.
The perks of VIP, VIP+, MVP, and MVP+ will be completely redone. If you own or get one of these ranks before July 27, you will keep the old perks as well as getting the new perks. Do not worry about losing existing perks - any ranks, perks, or commands that you purchased before July 27 will remain on your account forever.
Almost everything on our store, except for boosters and cosmetics, will no longer be available after July 27. However, you can buy as much as you want until then. Donator rank vouchers can be purchased on our store, giving you a redeemable item that can be used at any time, even after the July 27 overhaul date. These vouchers can be redeemed for the "legacy" donator rank perks, such as increased selling prices, donator kits, etc. You can do whatever you'd like with them - sell them, use them, or give them to a friend who can't buy a rank until after July 27 but still wants the old perks. If you want to save these vouchers for next map, you can turn them in to Dakotaa or spalw and they will be returned to you next map for future use.
Premium memberships are going to change, but you will be able to purchase a Lifetime MCDrugs Premium Membership that will let you keep the original perks forever, as well as 18 assorted keys right now, check that out on our store.
Crates will remain, however they will only be purchasable by points on /pshop. We do not plan to change any of the crate rewards. In the near future, you will be able to pay for a server-wide event that opens an area where keys may be dropped. A "Crate Key Token" has been added to the store. Finally, you will be able to purchase Legacy Store Credit on our Buycraft until July 27. This is dollar-for-dollar store credit that can be redeemed any time after the July 27 date. For example, you can buy ten $5 vouchers, which will get you $50 store credit. You can redeem this credit after July 27 for things that are going to be removed from the store like keys, current ranks, and premium benefits. Credit is not on sale, but any sales or discounts present when you redeem the credit will be applied.
