Ban appeals are for when we have made a mistake, or there has been a significant change in the circumstances.
These are the only reasons a ban appeal would be accepted. Appeals for "apologies" or just admitting you did wrong will be instantly denied.

In Game Name:

Length of Ban: 7 Days

Nature of ban(ie, mine craft temp banned or TS3 perm ban) : Temp Ban

Staff who banned you : Nova

Staff who dealt with you : None

Staff who have warned you previously : None

Reason for ban on record : Chest shop in wild.

Why do you think you were banned?(what you think the admins thought) : Chest shop in wild.

What is your explanation of this reason? 2 of our faction mates would go through our chests offline, and I had done this on a previous server to prevent that. Did not think it was a bannable offense. I had a potion chest full of invis pots. it was a small source of income for me as an individual.

Why should we unban you? I really didn't think it was a huge offense and was unaware of the rule. But it was also my fault for being ignorant of the rules since I did not take the time to review them.

What measures will you take to prevent this from happening again? No longer invite members into the faction who we believe will steal, so no chests like such will be needed.

How can we trust you again? This question is a bit odd, but I guess since ive been an active member for a week or so, and have had no other issues, you would be able to trust me again.

What else would you like to say to the admins who will review this case? My bad for not knowing the rules. I hope you can forgive me for my first offense of disobeying them. Sincerely,

Ignorance of the rule is not a defense. It is clearly listed in both /rules on the server and on the website that you cannot make chest shops in the wild. Furthermore, it was not just you but half of your faction doing this.

If you wish to sell items through a chest shop you will need to rent a shop in the spawn world. As for your faction members, you can put the chests you do not want touched by other members in a different chunk and use /f access to prevent them from opening them. Here is a link to the factions commands for reference.

To be quite honest, the shop chests in our rooms were not selling anything, but being used to keep unwanted people out. hence why we were "selling" air for 10000000 or whatever. It was never ment to actually be a shop since there is not a plug-in for locking chests. Our intent was good, but got screwed on the fact that it is still a "shop". The signs read this:

Funny_Hobo
1
B100000000000
Air

Like I said, the intent was a lock, not a shop.

I know what the signs said. Did it not occur to you that this would also prevent raiders from getting into your chests? In the future use /f access to prevent faction members from going through your stuff, and if you want to make your chests harder to raid you can look up a tutorial on how to make regen chests.

As I said before, it is clearly stated in the rules that chest shops are not to be made in the wild. It does not matter if your intent was to just lock them. You will have to wait out your ban.
