    With the release of 1.13 water mechanics were changed very drastically and they really fuck up a lot of things. In 1.8 (1.9?) TNT now flows in water and sand stacking was kinda fucked so cannons are very inconsistent and a lot of the bigger ones (reference a leinadarcher cannon or left shooter) really can't be built on 1.12. On 1.13 slabs can now be watered, with *half-slab* like water inside of the half-slab block. This completely fucks over raiding and with items floating in water now this makes water systems for automatic farms kind of wonky. Please do not update to 1.13.

    We plan on updating to 1.13 when all of our core plugins are compatible. This is something you'll have to adapt your raiding tactics to.

    It's quite literally impossible, slabs can only be blown up because they are half blocks and as such water doesn't flow into them which means they don't require sand (that they break) to be blown up. It's not really something you can adapt to it's actually pretty simple. TNT has no effect when in fluids, TNT and sand can have effect in fluids, slabs get rid of sand, without sand TNT has no effect in fluids. If we weren't already limited enough in what kinds of cannons could be made 1.13 is just another fuck you to the factions community.

    1.13 would be a pretty bad idea for a factions server. There is no "adapt" when you can make actual unraidable bases on the version if done right.

    Regardless of the situation, we do not want to stay on an outdated version of the game. If neccesssry, we would create workarounds to any issues instead.

    I understand that you want to keep updated but were on 1.12 and there still hasn't been any plugin put in place to fix tnt flowing in water and other issues that basically broke any good tnt cannons in 1.8. I think I made a suggestion post about it a while back but it received no attention from the staff.

    Like I said, you'll have to adapt to that. Many cannons still work perfectly fine. We're not going to sacrifice multiple new features to keep one feature working. As spalw said, workarounds will be created for major issues.

    Dry cannons really aren't cannons at this point since a single layer of water or lava makes them completely irrelevant, I am assuming you are referring to "dry cannons" (cannons that don't shoot sand or can hybrid) because if you weren't you wouldn't say that many cannons work perfectly fine. The only cannons that really can work on 1.12 are slime cannons and those don't work too well against a base with multiple walls because you can not add more power to have them shoot farther, and also the arc that a normal cannon fires tnt is drastically lower than the arc of a slime cannon. You don't even need to "sacrifice multiple new features to keep one feature working" all you need to do is make it that tnt doesn't flow in water the way items do.

    You 'factions purists' always ruin the prospect of updating the server to the shiny new 1.13 just because it will completely make sand stacking impossible. How about, instead of complaining like whiny little children, you just use the other raiding methods the gracious server owners have implemented. The one block silverfish raiding method still exists, and the server will maintain its being a competitive factions server, as long as we just stop using cannons entirely.

    Edit: Since vanguard is already the slimiest faction on the server ran by disgusting small whiny children, just inside people idiots
