Take meth for example, in real life it is 100% made out of chemicals and not grown at all.
But in the game it's netherwart, which grows like a plant.
Instead you could have a plugin in which you could craft meth using Sugar(for pseudo), Redstone(Red Phosphorus) and Gravel(Iodine).
Just a thought. Hope you consider it.
