Hey people, need some help with my new computer. Looking for an alternative case (cheaper) and maybe a different graphics card. I heard the GTX 1060 is the best budget build card for gaming. Also was wondering if the "gaming" motherboard I have is good enough, maybe even too good? Im trying to save as much money as possible on this build.

I'd suggest Radeon RX 480 more than any of the GTX 1060 series. But that's my personal opinion. And it's probably cheaper if you could find one.

If you could spare a little more cash a better cpu cooler would work wonders on keeping cpu cool why playing heavy load games. Even though you only play minecraft

The best budget card right now by far is gtx 1050 OC 4G. If you are going to play casual games (Minecraft, CSGO, League of legends etc) then get a 1050 and dont waste ur money on an more expensive card, most likely you play everything on low either way.

Also i'd recommend to not get a i5 as it doesn't have hyper threading and in the future more games will require more Threads and Hyper Threading helps this a lot. i7, i3 or AMD Ryzen 1500X /1600X.

Now that you spared some money, probably around 100 - 250, now get a SSD with your HDD and put ur windows on the SSD and ur pc will run so fast, put voice applications, browsers, Minecraft, Casual games ( Rocket league, League of Legends, csgo etc) on ur SSD and all other crap on ur HDD.

Enjoy a fast PC with good frames on Casual games and some high demanding games.

i3 is better than i5 for gaming? Is this true? Im going to get Intel since I get a big discount there.

What is your budget?

About $750 USD

The difference between the Cores are the processing power and if you'd want to overclock your PC.

So I updated the build. Last couple things I need help choosing...

Graphics card for sure I'm getting the 1060, thing is whether 6gb is worth the extra money over the 3gb.

If someone could, please list these graphics card in order you would get them from 1-3 (consider price). Mostly between the second and third one, if its worth to get the extra 3gb of graphics memory or the .02ghz

$220, 1.51ghz and 3gb

Budget wise, yes. i5 and i3 now a days gives litterally the same results almost every time and for i3 being cheaper having a i3 + ssd setup is going to be faster than a i5 + hdd setup any day. Budget is all about Price for performance and the i3 gives a way higher result than a i5 does.

I can tell you that i got a i5 6600, but this cpu is the bottleneck off my build so hard, i can even barely play PUBG, Arma 3, R6S without any crashes or huge laggspikes. so paying like 50$+ more for a i5 is definitely not worth it, ur better off just going i3 + SSD, better GPU or Better CPU (Ryzen, i7).

I would still recommend 1500x or 1600x ryzen 5 instead though as it provides more threads than any other cpu you will find on the market to the same price.

i5 7600k 4C/4T 3.8 GHz 227$

Ryzen 1500x 4C/8T 3.6 GHz 176$

You can litterally get this for 750$

If you are going to get the 1060 atleast buy the 6gb one as the 0.02 GHz difference won't be noticeable and for 25$+ i would say thats pretty good, but yet again if you aren't going to play high requirement games, it's going to be a waste of money and the 1050 will give the same results on games like minecraft, league of legends, csgo, rocket league etc.
