Adjusting to enrolling of cop.

Since I have been playing, I have been noticing that a lot of cops get banned - mainly people who are new to the server. I believe that Smuggler is relatively easy to get and does not require that much actual playtime in the server.

Players are getting banned for abusing cop, yes, and I do also understand that people are not reading the full cop rules. However, I think that a new system can be implemented to test and see if people are ready to be enrolled as a cop. Maybe some pre-requisites that they must fulfill.

I believe these players being banned may encourage them to stop playing the server - which is something that none of us want.

Any suggestions on how we could do this in the comments, or your opinions on it would be very much appreciated. I am also open to negative criticisms on this discussion.

I do agree that smuggler is a rather easily obtainable rank. It also seems to be rather time consuming for any higher staff members because so many cops don't understand their own rules. Perhaps they should be posted in the cop spawn or the rank to become a cop should be raised some?

They are already posted in the cop spawn - downstairs, there is a sign that teleports you to an area with the rules if I recall correctly.

I'm also unsure if raising the rank to become cop is a necessary solution either, though I'm on the fence about it.

I agree, smuggler rank is too fastly obtainable, in the first day of the re-set i was smuggler, with a rubbish cocoa farm. Maybe the rank should be raised to Mass-producer or higher but some new players may get bored by then. But one problem is that they do need cops, not many players that have experience become cop.

If we make the police enrolling rank higher, that means that players will have to invest more money into drug ranks before they can enroll into police. This means more time playing as a druggy, which could lead to the player changing their mind on becoming cop. The system is set to allow players to become cop at a relatively low rank in order to have a lot of cops to compensate for the larger spawn and split up drug houses of this map.

The number of police that we must demote is very small compared to the number of good police that enroll.

I agree that the rank shouldn't be increased, but perhaps require cops attempting to enroll must pass a test? Or something to that effect.

Just a tought that poped in my mind is that when People do the enrol command they get teleporteer to An area where there is a sort of quiz they first have to pass (there Will Be questions regarding the cop rules and how to react in sertain situations). I think this is not so difficult to implement and this way People Will have to learn the cop rules. (Also i would change the questions randomly because otherwise People Will Tell them to each other) to Battle the wild guessers you could ad in that People can only do the quize 1 time a week or 1 time a month so they need to take time to read the rules.
