Skeleton Spawner not working

I bought a skeleton spawner for 200k from /shop and placed it in the center of a 9x9x5 room. It shows pigs inside the spawner, and nothing was spawning anyways, so I bought a skeleton spawn egg from /shop and tried right clicking it on the spawner hoping it would change the spawner into a skeleton spawner. This didn't do anything either. Can someone please help me?

Currently, Skeleton Spawners have been buggy for the past week or so.
